Currently Accepting New Families ~

*We are currently accepting inquiries for ABA services. Depending on availability, families may be placed on our waitlist. Contact us to learn about current openings and next steps.

Getting Started

Starting ABA therapy can feel like a lot of information to take in. We want to make the process as simple and straightforward as possible. From confirming eligibility to completing the intake process, our team will guide you through each step.

Step 1. Make sure that your child meets our eligibility requirements

Phoenix Behavioral Services provides ABA therapy specifically for children with a confirmed diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). To begin services, families must provide documentation of a formal ASD diagnosis made by a qualified healthcare professional or licensed diagnostician.

Because ABA is a specialized service, we are unable to begin treatment without appropriate documentation of an autism diagnosis.

Step 2. Contact Us

Reach out to our team to tell us a little about your child and your interest in ABA therapy.

Step 3. Confirm Availability

If we have an opening that is a good fit and our 8:00 AM–2:00 PM clinic schedule works for your family, we'll move forward with the intake process.

Because the number of children we can serve is limited, there maybe times when we don’t have an immediate opening. If this happens, we’ll add your child to our waitlist and contact you as availability changes.

Being on the waitlist allows us to keep your family’s information on hand so that we can reach out when an opening becomes available.

Please Note: Placement on the waitlist does not guarantee a specific start date. Availability depends on current caseloads, staffing, scheduling needs, and your child’s individual needs.

Step 4. Verify Insurance

We'll confirm your insurance coverage and determine the requirements for beginning the assessment process.

Step 5. Assessment Authorization

When required by your insurance, we'll obtain prior authorization for the assessment and then schedule your child's assessment with a BCBA.

Step 6. Assessment & Treatment Plan

One of our BCBA’s will complete your child's assessment and use the information gathered to develop an individualized treatment plan based on your child's needs, strengths, and goals.

Step 7. Insurance Approval

The treatment plan is submitted to your insurance company for review and approval.

Step 8. Schedule Your Start Date

Once insurance approval is received, we'll work with your family to schedule your child's start date and begin services.
